Theology 01
This course builds on the foundation established in the 2025 Introduction to Ministry course. While Introduction to Ministry explored the call and qualifications of Christian ministry, along with the fundamentals of hermeneutics, apologetics, homiletics, and an overview of both the Old and New Testaments, this course takes the next step—deepening your theological understanding and strengthening your framework for effective ministry.
This course provides practical, hands-on instruction for studying and interpreting the Bible by walking through 40 essential questions every believer should understand.
Together, we’ll explore foundational questions such as: Who wrote the Bible? Can it be trusted without error? And how were the books of the Bible chosen? From there, we’ll dive deeper into how to interpret Scripture with clarity and confidence.
Dr. Tim and Dr. Craig will guide you through key principles of biblical interpretation, helping you understand the role of the Holy Spirit in discerning meaning, why Scripture is written in different literary forms like history, poetry, and prophecy, and how to approach studying the Old Testament differently from the New Testament.
Whether you’re new to studying the Bible or looking to grow in confidence and depth, this course will equip you to engage Scripture with greater understanding and purpose.
